Do I need a fishing licence?

No. A Florida fishing license is not required for guests fishing aboard Bushline Fishing Charters. Your fishing license is covered as part of your charter, so all you need to do is show up ready to fish.

What should I bring on my charter?

We recommend bringing food, snacks and drinks, suncreen,. a hat, polarized sunglasses, weather-appropriate  clothing and non slip shoes. For early morning charters, consider bringing a light jacket or sweatshirt, as it can be cooler on the water depending on the season. A small cooler is welcome for any personal items you'd like to bring.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Your safety comes first. Captain Tony closely monitors weather and water conditions leading up to your trip. If conditions are unsafe, we'll contact you to discuss rescheduling your charter for another available date.

How many guests can I bring?

Bushline Fishing Charters accomodates up to four guests per trip.  This keeps the experience comfortable and gives everyone plenty of room to fish and enjoy their time on the water.

Can beginners and children come fishing?

Absolutely! Bushline welcomes anglers of all experience and levels, from first timers to seasoned fishermen.  Kids are welcome too, and Captain Tony is happy to provide guidance along the way to help everyone have a fun and enjoyable day on the water.

Can we keep the fish we catch?

Yes, when regulations allow. Fish that meet current size, season and bag-limit requirements may be kept. Captain Tony will help you determine what can legally be kept and what needs to be released.

Will Captain Tony clean our catch?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Fish cleaning is included with your charter. Any legal fish you choose to keep will be cleaned at the end of the trip so it's ready for you to take home and enjoy.

Where do we meet for our charter?

Charter's depart from Riverside Boat Ramp in Palmetto, Florida. A convenient Get Directions link is available on our website to help you find the launch location.

How early should I arrive ?

Please plan to arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled departure time. This allows time to get settled, load any personal items and be ready to head out on the water at your scheduled time.

What is your cancellation policy?

We understand that plans change. If you need to cancel or reschedule your charter, please provide at least 48 hours' notice. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before your scheduled trip are subject to our cancellation policy and may result in the loss of your deposit.

Is my deposit refundable

Yes. If you need to cancel your charter please let us know at least 48 hours before your scheduled trip to receive a refund of your deposit.  Deposits are nonrefundable for cancellations made less than 48 hours before your trip. If Captain Tony cancels the trip due to unsafe weather or water conditions, you may reschedule your charter or receive a refund of your deposit.

Is gratuity customary?

Tips are always appreciated, but never expected. The most important things is that you have a great day on the water. If you'd like to show your appreciation for Captain Tony, gratuity is always welcome.

What type of fish can we catch?

The catch varies throughout the year depending on the season and conditions. Depending on the time of year, you may have the opportunity to target species such as snook, redfish, trout, tarpon and other inshore favorites. Captain Tony will plan your trip around what's biting and the conditions that day.

Can we brig alcohol on the boat?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You're welcome to bring alcoholic beverages to enjoy responsbly during your charter. For everyone's safety please no glass containers. If alcohol consumption creates an unsafe situation for guests or the captain, the charter may need to end early.

Is the boat equipped with a restroom?

Accepted Answer

There is no restroom on the boat, so we recommend using the restroom before your charter. If nature calls while you're out on the water, just let Captain Tony know and he'll do his best to get you to a nearby restroom.

What if someone in our group gets sick?

If you're prone to motion sickness, we recommend taking your preferred motion-sickness medication before your charter and following the directions on the packages. Staying hydrated, eating a light meal beforehand may also help make your time on the water more comfortable.
